About the doctor

Dr. Michael Maude earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, a prestigious private dental school in Loma Linda, California in 1998.

Graduating amongst the top in his class, Dr. Michael Maude was able to begin practicing dentistry privately right away. He purchased his private practice in La Mesa, California and practiced out of that office until he relocated to a brand new building in El Cajon in 2011. Dr. Maude has a second dental practice in Rancho Penasquitos, which he opened in 2005.

 Dr. Maude has received extensive training in cosmetic dentistry. He is a certified provider of Invisalign, ZOOM! Advanced Power Plus Whitening and Lumineers. Dr. Maude also performs many types of oral surgery including extractions, implant placement and gum grafting procedures.

As an avid gardener, Dr. Maude truly enjoys caring for his fruit trees ranging to fig and pomegranate to limes and passionfruit. He loves to bring in baskets of seasonal fresh fruit from his garden for his patients to enjoy as well. He stays active by playing on a men's soccer league once a week.

Dr. Maude and his wife, Renee have four children together.

About the staff

Beth Marx, Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator

As office manager and treatment coordinator, Beth facilitates treatment planning for our patients and handles all insurance and billing related issues. Her father, Dr. Clyde Dorn, owned the practice before Dr. Maude.

Beth attended Grossmont College for Dental Assisting and earned her associates degree in 1982. She received her RDA license that same year. She has been in the dental field for 30 years performing many aspects of dentistry. Beth has been married for 25 years and has two daughters. Beth enjoys the beach, mountains, bike riding, reading and spending time with her family. Beth has been with our practice for 11 years.

Ilene Pitruzzello, RDH and Hygiene Program Coordinator

Ilene graduated in 2010 from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Understanding the importance of having a trusting relationship with your dental professional is what led Ilene to become a hygienist. She is committed to making the dental experience comfortable. She believes the most beneficial service she can provide is to educate patients and give them the tools to improve their oral and systemic health. Ilene enjoys helping patients of all ages. Her nurturing personality was developed through growing up in a very large family and caring for siblings and cousins. Ilene truly connects with children, and they connect with her.Teaching children and adults the best way to care for teeth, and preventing decay and disease is a fun and rewarding part of Ilene's day. Ilene also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and teaching jazzercise.

Julie Revilee, RDA

Julie went to Mesa College in 1994. Julie received her RDA license in August of 1994. Julie has been with our practice 4 years. She has been in the dental field 18 years.

Julie enjoys working with patients and helping them understand the importance of oral health. Also making sure they are comfortable during the procedures and letting them know they are getting the best care.

Julie has been married for 5 years and she has 3 dogs. She enjoys cooking, bike riding, going to the desert with her family and plays on a pool league every week. 

Briana Coombs, Front Office Coordinator

Briana earned her Associate’s Degree at Grossmont College and am currently on the wait-list for Southwestern College’s Dental Hygiene program. She came to us from an orthodontist's office in Poway. She is very passionate about the dental field. Briana got married in April. Briana enjoys taking her two dogs on walks, cruising the beach on my bike, cooking and baking. Briana is looking forward to completing the Dental Hygienist program at Southwestern College and earning her bachelor’s degree in Biology. 
 

Renee Maude, Community Events Coordinator

Renee Maude graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication with an Emphasis in Public Relations from San Diego State University in 1999. She began her career in a large public relations firm where she worked on many major clients doing event planning, web site copy, media relations and more. Renee was later recruited to San Diego State University's Marketing & Communications department where she handled media relations, community events, and wrote for the SDSU Alumni Magazine. In 2001 she started working in Dr. Maude's office in 2001 and implemented a marketing and community outreach program. As part of the practice's community outreach, Renee organizes visits to local preschools and elementary schools where Dr. Maude conducts "Dental Talks" on good oral hygiene. Dr. Maude also volunteers his time at community dental clinics for disadvantaged children and sponsors many local events and programs. Renee is also Dr. Maude's wife and a stay-at-home mom. Together, they have four children.
